Maintaining Our Ethics and Integrity in the Way We Do Business ...

In our modern days, time has become the universal currency that everyone can relate to. We all have become accustomed to the fast paced lifestyle that everyone lives especially in the way we do business with each other. Companies would want to build bigger and faster. Many rules have changed in the past decades and businesses that didn?t survive before are now thriving in their own niches like Mid Florida Mortgages. Behemoth corporations that were successful in the past are now on life support. Keeping our sanity amidst all of these changes can be tough but everyone should understand that business ethics and integrity is everyone?s responsibility.

Thanks to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the United States and Canada are able to effectively track businesses and maintain just and fair business practices. Since its founding in 1912, consumers and businesses have heavily relied on the BBB for their handy reports and reviews that reflect the reliability of any business. This helps remind both consumers and companies that they have rights and responsibilities to each other. The BBB?s reports also aid in preventing business from any fraudulent or unethical business practice. In case of disputes, the BBB also serves as mediator to facilitate resolution.

There are also other private organizations from one state to another aside from the BBB that help businesses and consumers maintain their ethics when doing business with each other. These organizations though may not have the same scope of operation that the BBB has.

On the other hand, consumers have rights that are strongly advocated. Together with rights though come responsibilities. Each of us as a consumer is eventually tasked with educating ourselves to be aware of these rights so no business can take advantage of us in the first place.

At the end of the day, ethics and integrity ultimately fall on us as individuals. If we?re able to maintain a good attitude as individuals, the businesses or companies that we represent will have no problem doing business the right way.
